We use thin, sterile, disposable pins and insert them in specific points on the body in order to regulate the flow of energy, or qi, in the body. These acupuncture points each relate to a different organ system or area of the body, and by accessing the qi at these points, we are able to harmonize the body as a whole. Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine seek to treat the root of the issue, not just to mask the symptoms.

Private acupuncture treatments include any necessary adjunct therapies such as cupping & moxibustion, herbal & dietary recommendations, as well as any lifestyle counseling, and will typically last an hour.

COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE Community Acupuncture is a rapidly growing style of acupuncture in the United States, and for good reason. Acupuncture is administered in a community setting--typically a setting of 6 or more recliners in a room together. Family members and friends often make appointments together, which is a particularly nice way to introduce your loved ones to this medicine! This style of acupuncture uses points located primarily below the elbows and knees, allowing for comfort and modesty. How do we treat the whole body in this fashion? Much like a light switch on one side of the room can access the light bulb on the ceiling, we are able to use certain points on the body to activate other areas of the body. In this manner, we can treat lower back pain without ever having to put a needle in your back! Community Acupuncture visits focus solely on acupuncture and rely on more frequent treatments in order to speed the healing process.
